The Sims House

The Sims House is a private residence built in 1883 in Edgefield, South Carolina, and the oldest home we have captured. Originally serving as a doctor's practice, the property retains its period doors and circulation paths designed to allow patients to be wheeled throughout for care. Nearly everything inside remains original, a rare condition for a structure of this age. The name of the family is still carved into one of the chimneys, a quiet reminder of the people whose presence shaped the place long before the lens arrived.
